Method Kala Ghoda opens the new year with an evocative solo exhibition by artist Darshika Singh titled Lip Service to the Transcendental. Running from January 9th to February 9th, 2025, this series of paintings invites viewers on a journey through rhythm, repetition, and transformation.

The Art of Rhythmic Exploration
Darshika Singh’s work is an ode to the interplay between the quantifiable and the fluid, the structured and the spontaneous. Through a meticulous process of rhythm and repetition, her paintings defy the constraints of perfection. Instead, they embrace imperfection, bending to whim, memory, and fantasy.
Each stroke and gesture in her work evolves, much like an ever-adapting gene—interacting, proliferating, and mutating with its surroundings. The result is an atmospheric, layered composition that feels alive, resonating with an air of truth that emerges from within the process itself.
A Skeleton of the Self
At its core, Lip Service to the Transcendental explores the innate and primordial—what the artist describes as a "bone-dry skeleton of the Self." Stripped bare yet pulsating with life, her paintings invite deep introspection, compelling viewers to engage with their own truths and intuitive knowing.
This journey through repetitive gestures and geometrical shapes transforms into a dynamic exploration of self-awareness and the ephemeral nature of existence.
