Aasmaan by Hitchki

something about the Mumbai skyline that makes rooftop dining feel like a little celebration of life itself — and with Aasmaan, Hitchki just made that celebration a whole lot more vivid. The beloved Bollywood-themed restobar, known for its cheeky charm and full-bodied nostalgia, has opened its newest outpost at NESCO, Goregaon, and this time, they’ve taken things up a notch — literally. Aasmaan is Hitchki’s first-ever rooftop concept, and it’s every bit the mood you didn’t know you needed.
Split across two levels, the venue sprawls over 3,000 square feet, with an energetic indoor space that seats 120 and an expansive rooftop that opens up to the city skies with room for 140 more. Whether you’re there for a breezy breakfast or one of those unforgettable starry night cocktails, Aasmaan feels like it was designed for moments you want to linger in.
What makes it truly special is that it doesn’t stray from the original Hitchki DNA. You’ll still find the brand’s signature blend of nostalgia, playfulness, and that oh-so-familiar wink to Bollywood. But here, it feels a bit more grown-up — like your favourite movie character just had a style upgrade. There’s a tasteful play of ambient lighting, thoughtful textures, and design choices that lean into contemporary Indian sensibilities while staying delightfully rooted in pop culture.
At the bar, you’ll find Sonali Mullick’s handiwork — Hitchki’s head of operations and a mixologist with a flair for storytelling. Her cocktails are liquid poetry with a playful punch, each one echoing a memory or a line from a film that suddenly feels more relevant with a drink in hand. Think unexpected combinations, dramatic flair, and flavours that linger long after the glass is empty.
And if the drinks don’t get you talking, the food certainly will. Chef Ajay Thakur has curated a menu that surprises at every turn — regional Indian with bold reinterpretations and a splash of global curiosity. You’ll find reimagined comfort food, quirky bar bites, and mains that manage to hit both the heart and the palate. It’s the kind of menu that keeps you coming back just to see what you missed the first time.
Speaking about the new opening, Aji Nair, CEO of Mirah Hospitality, sums it up beautifully: “Hitchki has always been about more than just great food and drinks—it’s a feeling. With every new outlet, we strive to evolve that feeling into something unique, immersive, and memorable. Aasmaan reflects this evolution, combining nostalgia with sophistication in a setting that’s truly one of a kind.”
If you’re looking for your next favourite spot in Mumbai — where the music doesn’t shout over your conversation, where the cocktails come with stories, and where the skyline is part of the experience — Aasmaan might just be it.
